My Failures – My Future. What if it was OK to fail? Learn from the Greats. Stigma – the real illness. Smile for the mirror :). January 26, 2016. We are our own worst critics. We spend most of our time worried about what other people think of us, when really we should worried about what we think of ourselves. What is that person in the reflection saying about us? Do they like our smile, our physique, the choices we’ve made? If we can truly smile at that reflection, our world will start to smile back.

My Failures – My Future. What if it was OK to fail? Learn from the Greats. Stigma – the real illness. Stigma – the real illness. It is difficult for anyone to fully understand mental illness if they have not suffered from it themselves, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. Why is it that we tend to judge that which we do not understand? Why are we afraid of that which does not appear normal according to our standards and perception of the world. Smile for the mirror :). Just Be You :). Just Be You :).

My Failures – My Future. What if it was OK to fail? Learn from the Greats. Stigma – the real illness. Learn from the Greats. June 29, 2015. Here is a greatness guideline I believe teaches us the fundamentals on life and learning how to really live it. Where there is no struggle, there is no strength. Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. Surround yourself with positive people. Don’t try to be anyone else.

Explore a la Carte. Bits of Travel and Food Exploration. Shrimp, Mint and Watermelon Salad. February 12, 2015. April 6, 2015. This recipe is my take on Jody Vasallo’s Watermelon, feta and mint salad with sumac prawns from her book, beautiful food. I have no idea what sumac is, so my shrimp were just cooked with garlic. Although a more pleb version of her recipe, it was still delicious. 500 g prawns, peeled and deveined. 2 garlic cloves, crushed. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 760 g watermelon, cut into wedges.

The Daily Apple | Inspiring you to live your best life, everyday
Inspiring you to live your best life, everyday. The religion of nutrition. April 12, 2014. April 12, 2014. I read an article. This week about a Gold Coast mum who ate a plant-based diet throughout her pregnancy which received mixed reviews; some praised her, but most scorned her for her ‘selfish choice’ in neglecting to nourish her unborn child by restricting her diet. Under this umbrella of ‘clean eating’ there are so many variables as to what a healthy, balanced diet looks like for some people. Sci...

The Daily Apple | The inside story
February 18, 2012. Sorry I haven’t posted for ages! I have really been tied up, and to be totally honest – forgot! But now there is much worse news – I will have to leave The Daily Apple alone. Everything is starting to become much more busy, and I would rather not leave everybody hanging for another post. One thing before we go though; one last update of the blog. So, what has happened? Lion has nearly had it’s last Roar – Mountain Lion has been announced. We now have the iPhone 4s. We have had iOS 5.

Saturday, June 15, 2013. Don't you just love succulents? I had an old coffee tin, and put this together for my dad for Fathers Day. He loves his morning coffee so this is the perfect tin. I'm also going to make a stop at Trader Joes, and buy him some of his favorite snacks, and some fresh ground coffee. I'll also make him a batch of my chocolate chip scones that he loves :) Have an awesome weekend and a blessed Fathers Day! How are you celebrating your dad. Sunday, June 9, 2013.
