Monday, August 31, 2009. Make Hay While the Sun Shines. Today they mowed all the hay here on the farm, and there is a noticeable coolness in the air. Betty would never be so gauche as to wear white after Labor Day- and certainly not a white outfit featuring a beach scene applique- so this week may be the last time she wears this ensemble. Saturday, June 5, 2010. Don't worry.Betty didn't say any bad words. She just traded in her sock for the "soap" from her Going to Bed Book. We had a pretty relaxing Saturday playing in the nursery. Betty is getting more confidence walking. She isn't taking more than 2 or 3 steps at a time, but she's walking now instead of crawling when the distance between point A and point B is short. And she chugged her cow's milk tonight once I warmed it up a bit. She's pretty much ready to turn one tomorrow!

Friday, April 30, 2010. Betty and one other baby were all that remained today in the infant room. Three more babies went home sick during the day. While Betty napped and the other baby sat in his swing they bleached all the toys, but it may be too little too late. Some of the sick babies had already been sick last week, which means this might be another. That's not a wee bit cruel?
