THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE – Page 2

THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. Gauhar Jaan looked something out of a dream with her sharp features, which bordered on ethereal. She was draped in all white and her diamond studded nose pin gave her an air of regality that was fit for a queen. Her neck drew your eyes to it not for the glittering jewels, but its delicate curve that rippled with her every move much like a sinewy rope. 8220;Why struggle to open a door between us when the whole wall is an illusion? THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. I wish I could say I am back after a long break but it won’t be the truth. Yes, I am back with soul-searching thoughts, which are not mine though I wish they were. The words are so beautiful that you would want to be with someone and discover their naked soul. February 21, 2016. A THOUGHT OF YOU. STORY OF BUTTONS, CORNERS, AND PARENTS. On STORY SO FAR. A PARADOX – THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE
https://thoughtsonthehouse.wordpress.com/2014/10/18/a-paradox
THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. October 18, 2014. September 13, 2015. The pen caught between nimble fingers was tapping in a staccato rhythm… sometimes against the worn out spiral notebook else her chin. Long, beautiful curls streaming around her face were pushed back by fingers on which her forehead rested. He stood and watched her from afar. She was his bundle of contradictions. Rings on both the hands drew his eyes to her every moment. Unaware of people and sounds, she was engrossed in weaving thoughts. Hay Sw...

THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. LOUNGING IN THE MOUNTAINS. July 5, 2015. August 3, 2015. Finally, we made it all the way to Srinagar! However, we are a determined lot and nothing could deter us from our vacation. Soon, the bags were packed once again and we finally boarded our flight to Srinagar. After a short stop-over at the Jammu airport, we were flying over the snow-capped mountains. There wasn’t a more beautiful sight I had ever seen before. View all posts by Swati. SIX YARDS LONG STORY. STORY SO FAR – THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE

THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. September 15, 2016. September 15, 2016. All I could do was roll my eyes. Simply said I like to linger over books even though I might not make them mine. Second time too I needed convincing but I gave in because it would have been a sin to miss a conversation with and company of a man with a fabulous taste in all things lyrical. Surprisingly, I wasn’t sad about not bringing back at least ten books with me. However, I am sure he must have already judged my choice in books after s...

September 2016 – THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE
https://thoughtsonthehouse.wordpress.com/2016/09
THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. A THOUGHT OF YOU. In you burnt a passion to learn the impossible. There was a restlessness in you to satiate both mind and soul. You took things apart only to put them back together with a touch that was unique to you. I miss those daily talks over a cup of tea, or was it double whiskey for you and scotch for me over dinner? You were by no means a serious soul. Oh boy! I miss you, Baba! September 21, 2016. September 22, 2016. All I could do was roll my eyes. Second time too I neede...

BREAKING POINT – THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE
https://thoughtsonthehouse.wordpress.com/2016/11/04/breaking-point
THOUGHTS ON THE HOUSE. November 4, 2016. November 7, 2016. The walls were pristine white. They were neither devoid of emotions nor did they present any stark reminder of a hospital. A number of canvases on the wall told stories through a riot of colors that pierced the monotony like the first rays of the rising sun. There was very little she could do about it because now it was too late. She tried hard to let go of the silent scream that wanted to deny his every accusation but her shattered soul and trem...
