More meadows as we move away from Sedbergh. The Howgills hove into view. A peaceful River Lune. The Crook of Lune Bridge.

Looking back to the bridge at Burnsall. I couldn’t bring myself to include all the detritus around the falls. The route follows the River Wharfe up to. 8217; Ducks always float pretty well generally, unless you’ve caught them flush with a loaf of stale bread. A suspension bridge crosses over to the Grassington side.

And a painted reminder that we still had nearly 80 miles to go. The walk towards Bolton Abbey. Bolton Priory remains and some stepping stones. The Strid and peace at last. Flowing through a narrow cut in the conglomerate. And a little further on, you can walk along the riverbed. Back along the Wharfe. The Wharfe near to Burnsall.
