Photos from my Flickr site:. Friday, November 21, 2008. Originally uploaded by jentwo. California DOES get fall color! There are trees like this all over Fresno right now, as well as a variety of others in bright yellows, warm oranges, deep reds, and even near-black maroon. It's a gorgeous time of year and we've had unseasonably warm temperatures lately that are nice to go outside and photograph in. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fresno, CA, United States. Jennifer Franklin's photography blog: water in motion
http://jentwo.blogspot.com/2010/07/water-in-motion.html
Photos from my Flickr site:. Saturday, July 3, 2010. Originally uploaded by jentwo. This is a high-speed (1/4000 of a second) shot of water in a creek in Lundy Canyon in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. I noticed an active part of the creek that was in shade, with a well-lit portion of white water behind it. I knew if I metered for the part in shade, it would blow out the background and isolate in the foreground the fascinating shapes of water in motion. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Photos from my Flickr site:. Saturday, July 5, 2008. Originally uploaded by jentwo. It was a little hit and miss, as sometimes I timed my exposures wrong, they were out of focus, or things happened outside of the frame, but overall I'm pretty pleased with them. The fireworks were being shot off from a space between the stadium and the parking structure, and it felt like we had an amazing, front-row view, much better than when I've watched fireworks from inside the stadium. This is a 186-second exposure of the Milky Way, photographed from near Glacier Point on July 10, 2010, on the eve of a new moon. The longer streak you see is a meteor! I was very excited to be in the right place at the right time to view and photograph the Milky Way. I've wanted to get more into astro-photography and this was the very first time I captured the Milky Way in a photo.

Photos from my Flickr site:. Saturday, July 3, 2010. Salty foam and jewel-toned water. Originally uploaded by jentwo. On a recent trip to Lee Vining not long after Tioga Pass opened for the season, I witnessed the best sunset I've ever seen in the Eastern Sierra. This photo shows the color of the sky reflected in waves on the shore of Mono Lake. Mounds of salty foam ringed the lake, whipped up by the winds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
