There is only one place, but this is cut into other settings. The castle was built by Alexander of Brennenburg in the late 16th century, after it was consumed by a fire. Alexander was probably masquerading under a different name. It is located deep in the woods of eastern Prussia near the town of Altstadt. Is the unseen protagonist of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. In the Inner Sanctum, Alexander introduced Daniel to the power of the Orb. However, The Shadow arrived in the Sanctum with the two and almost killed both of them, but Alexander managed to hide the Orb. Seeing that the Shadow would arrive in Brennenburg soon, and fearing for his life, Daniel told Alexander that he would do whatever it took to survive. Unwittingly, Daniel played right into the baron's hands. Or Alexander von Brennenburg.
