March 2, 2016. This is a great story by Blaze McRob for your enjoyment. Pen of the Damned. T doesn’t matter how long he stands before the window staring down at the streets below. They always show the filth and decadence this city is noted for. This is a place of evil, yet no different from any other city on this disgusting, spinning rock. Humanity exists, if one wishes to call this totality of debauchery by such a term, at a base level. No more; no less. Of course, there are the others. 1,086 more words.

The Writing Adventures of The Undead Duo–Julie Hutchings and Kristen Strassel. Daddy’s Little Girl by D.C. Perry for Flash Fiction Friday. TODAY’S BREW: Hazelnut Pecan. Fancy as hell. But I know him because his imagination is INSANE to me. He is the most hilarious thing in the Twitterverse, massively underfollowed, and he is my spirit animal. How did it not wake Rachel, for that matter? Jim thought her name was Susan. What kind of neighbor am I? He thought. I can’t even remember this little girl’s na...

L.E Pate: Mechanical Heart Part 2

Monday, January 14, 2013. Mechanical Heart Part 2. A story series by:. Words; I have the physical proficiency to speak them, but do I really mean them? When I speak to others of my kind, we just communicate. It doesn’t feel like a real engagement in conversation. We aren’t programmed to speak certain idioms, because we have the brainpower to decide for ourselves what we will say. Do I even put emotion into the words that I progress? 8220;Do you, speak a language? 8221; “Can you hear me? Her face seems to...

Monday, January 21, 2013. Mechanical Heart Part 3 By: Lindsay Pate and Coreey Seeley. I stand motionless, before her. Her eyes stay dedicated on me. I start to fascinate every detail of her current appearance; her petite nose, the microscopic freckle underneath her left eye. The detail she contains is extraordinary. She is compelling, and she is about to speak out again. Her lips are dry as the words flow out. 8220;Are you here to… examine me? 8220;I am not.” Is all I respond with? 8220;You better have a...

Monthly Archives: April 2013. April 11, 2013 · 6:08 pm. Tokyo Pizza – A rollicking good time. Tokyo Pizza was written by Michael Lane as an entry for the 30 hour #nanowriwee contest held by Harper Collins. It made it to the shortlist and it was a well deserved accolade. I had the pleasure of reading Toyko Pizza in its raw state at hour 31 of the contest and even then it was an amazing bit of literature. Definitely worth the time! I highly recommend it. You can find it here on Amazon! Follow Blog via Email.

Lore wrinkled her nose at the coppery scent that hung in the quiet air, as her horse picked its way carefully down from the treeline. Broken bodies and shattered weaponry lay around the small valley. The battle had been hard fought, and barely won. Farther off a large grey cat padded amongst the dead, stopping now and then to investigate. 8220;I don’t think this is a good idea.”. Babylonian Devil Trap | Mari Wells
https://mariwells.wordpress.com/2015/08/15/babylonian-devil-trap
August 15, 2015. Between the third and first Centuries B.C.E. and the 16th Century C.E., Babylonian Devil Traps were common. These devil traps were terra-cotta bowls inscribed with magical texts or symbols with the purpose to drive away evil. Hebrew slaves in Babylonia changed the words and text to quotes from the Hebrew Scriptures that invoked God. One bowl was inscribed with the bill of divorce from the devil and all of his monsters. It ordered demons to leave town. How were these bowls used? Enter you...
