On this day, we will swear in Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States. Actually, he is only the 43rd man to hold this office, as Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms as the 22nd and the 24th president. Other interesting presidential trivia? Obama will be the first president born outside the continental US. He was born in Hawaii. James Madison at 5'4".

The Dash in Between. Sunday, June 7, 2009. The Great Urban Race. Some of the best clues involved solving a murder mystery logic puzzle, creating a ransom note style letter with cutout letters and words from newspapers or magazines, and asking 10 random strangers to pose with us at a fountain while we all flexed our muscles. The Dash in Between. Monday, July 13, 2009. OK so it's a little late, but James and I spent our 1 year wedding anniversary in Glacier National Park in Montana. It was BEAUTIFUL. More on that to come. It's just so hard to believe it's been a year already! You can read all about it here. We've be thrown a few loops in the past year. I hated my initial home health job I was working after the wedding. DESPISED IT. Unethical, questionable illegal practices, not good for my license. Thank you for loving me.

Addison loves to sneeze. She thinks it's a great time. She has never been sick, so up until now, most of her sneezes are just nose-ticklers. For the past three days, she has been sneezing lots of clear mucus. She also hasn't been sleeping well and has had a few fussy bouts here and there. She's felt a little warm to me, but has no fever and no other symptoms. She's happy and active and normal (except for what I listed above). My daughter is seven months old! That is so crazy to me. :) Here is a glimpse into her life these days:. She is growing into the name "Addie". (Some people have been calling her that for awhile, but she is just seeming like an Addie to me lately.). I am wondering if she will crawl at all, or just go to walking. She has started her assisted walking stage. If she's held by the hands or under the arms, she will high-step her way across the room. It's super cute. Happy 7 months, Addison!

Nice Mom and Daughter Day :). Nice Mom and Daughter Day :). I figured I should blog about this day so I don't forget it. Jason's out of town on a Workcamp trip with the youth, so Addison and I have been getting more than our normal share of one-on-one time. Today we headed out to the Canal Fest, an annual festival in the neighboring cities of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda. That's the day. My sweet boy is 6 months old. :) A few things about him:. He is really tall, solid, and generates a lot of heat. His cheeks flush bright red just like mine. He has great laughs. His latest is a funny little "heh. heh. heh." He also has what we call the nerd laugh, which is a big noisy sucking in sound. And he has a sweet belly laugh too. He laughs a lot. He's a jolly kid. He is mesmorized by our cats and Addison's train set. He absolutely adores his sister. And his daddy. And me. :).
