Home and never alone: June 2015
http://homeandneveralone.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Contact Me/PR and Reviews. June 29, 2015. Three years ago today, I closed the door to my office on my last day of work. I said goodbye to the university world and went home with my three year old daughter and almost six month old son. I was equal parts excited and terrified about making such a huge change. I had no idea what I was doing. Two little voices are reading in our house now, and both kids zoomed through our county library's reading program in record time. They are now the proud owners of st...

Home and never alone: Giveaway: Taking the tears out of haircuts with Cartoon Cuts
http://homeandneveralone.blogspot.com/2015/05/giveaway-taking-tears-out-of-haircuts.html
Contact Me/PR and Reviews. May 1, 2015. Giveaway: Taking the tears out of haircuts with Cartoon Cuts. Note: I received a Cartoon Cuts gift card exchange for my honest review. No further compensation was received and all opinions are my own. Like many preschoolers, D is a boy of many opinions. He likes shirts with pockets, sticks, coloring, trains, and big machines. Chief among his dislikes? On our most recent visit, D was delighted to see Peppa Pig in the window of our local Cartoon Cuts. My mother has b...

Home and never alone: April 2015
http://homeandneveralone.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Contact Me/PR and Reviews. April 12, 2015. True confessions: hooked on the internet. We went to the park to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather. Instead of photographing my children, I watched them play. I made bread and I was sad I couldn't Instagram it. I was embarrassed when I realized how sad this made me, even after I posted a picture of said bread on Facebook. Did my children refuse to eat the bread because it wasn't Instagrammed? Why am I spending so much time thinking about this? Acceptance. Di...

Cracking Under Pressure: October 2011
http://crackingunderpressure.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Working Mom of two young kids blogging about parenting, life, and random thoughts. Friday, October 28, 2011. After yesterday's post about the princess, I decided to capture somethings about the munchkin too! She is a "big girl" except she is also a "little girl". It is something she struggles with - this desire to be big, but also recognizing she is little, and then being afraid to do some things. She climbed into bed last night, threw out her arm, and said "Nobody kiss me". We did anyway. Her absolute f...

Cracking Under Pressure: Friendships are Amazing
http://crackingunderpressure.blogspot.com/2012/10/friendships-are-amazing.html
Working Mom of two young kids blogging about parenting, life, and random thoughts. Thursday, October 11, 2012. I did not think twice about that conversation at the time, but rather was reflecting over the weekend and as our conversations replayed in my mind, I thought about how strange a place I am in now. This place of "oh okay, something is up with your kid. let's talk about all the things", not "oh no, what to do? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Cracking Under Pressure: The stories I don't want to forget
http://crackingunderpressure.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-stories-i-dont-want-to-forget.html
Working Mom of two young kids blogging about parenting, life, and random thoughts. Monday, March 25, 2013. The stories I don't want to forget. Death is hard and we just had a very difficult one in my family. Though I wanted this space to be my online journal, I really have no idea how I am using it, so for now I will just use it to remember. The ten days after my uncle's sudden passing was really a blur of life. I mostly walked around in a haze of emotion and did as little as possible around the house.

Cracking Under Pressure: February 2012
http://crackingunderpressure.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Working Mom of two young kids blogging about parenting, life, and random thoughts. Monday, February 27, 2012. In other speaking news, the munchkin says "don't" instead of "doesn't" and always adds an 's' to her verbs. All day long we are treated to. It don't fits here". And I love it, I want to capture it on film, and roll around in the adorable-ness of her cuteness. As much as I pushed the princess to talk clearly and move past the toddler-speak, I cling to these cute little phrases the munchkin says.

Cracking Under Pressure: Specialists and Doctors, oh my!
http://crackingunderpressure.blogspot.com/2012/09/specialists-and-doctors-oh-my.html
Working Mom of two young kids blogging about parenting, life, and random thoughts. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Specialists and Doctors, oh my! When the baby was about a month old, we started up with the specialist appointments. We are lucky enough to live within a relatively short driving distance from Children's National Medical Center. In DC When the radiologist first discovered there was an issue, we were sent to CNMC. But says it can wait a few weeks for when we come in for the ortho appointment - ...
