Wherever possible we use local products. We grow lots of vegetables in The Decca garden and have a good herb bed which helps us create delicious fresh food for our guests. Our local butcher at Cross Stores makes wonderful sausages and black pudding as well as stocking lots of local meat. Our eggs and other products often come from neighbours who keep hens, pigs, sheep and cattle. Our bathrooms are stocked with Faith in Nature seaweed shampoo and conditioners (sourced through the Ethical Superstore www.

Self-catering 280 - 520. Was the family home for the staff who operated the Decca navigation station and is light, warm and spacious. The cottage is attached to the main house on one side and has large windows that make it exceptionally light with wonderful views to the front (Fivepenny village and Loch Stiapabhat nature reserve) and to the back (over the machair to the dunes and the sea). The cottage is a great place where families and people who enjoy outdoor activities can feel relaxed and comfortable.

A typical two course menu might include a main course of local meat, fish or vegetarian dish with a nice sauce, fresh vegetable and potatoes, followed by a homemade gateau, cheesecake or fruit crumble.
