always in a southern state of mind: new showcase house
http://alwaysinasouthernstateofmind.blogspot.com/2013/02/new-showcase-house.html
Always in a southern. Tuesday, February 12, 2013. There's a new Southern Living Showcase House. Built by Silverton Custom Homes. Here in the great state of Texas on Lake Travis. Loving the chandy and the bird above the mantel. Here's a better pic of the seating area. Love the way they paneled the walls. Reminds me of details in Palmetto Bluff homes. Also love the herringbone pattern. And the oyster mirror on the coffee table. Heck, I love it all. The double lanterns over the island. A very sweet thank you.

http://alwaysinasouthernstateofmind.blogspot.com/2013/03/growing.html
Always in a southern. Friday, March 29, 2013. It's been a doozy of a week. Various emotions are going on. In my head and my heart. I keep thinking of how our life is so blessed. And how we're back in the routine of things. But how my sweet friend Emily's family. Is turned upside down. Their lives will never be the same and I'm sad for their loss. I keep thinking of her. How good of a mother she was. After her funeral on Wednesday. I dropped our twins off at a boy scout meeting. In the car driving around.

But this one has me changing my mind. Looking back the other way. Let me be quiet and just let you enjoy. Who's ready to move in besides me? Little hitch in our giddy-up though. They go quickly here.usually within the first week. We were talking to a guy last week. Who is trying to find a house in our 'hood. He said they put in an offer.

http://alwaysinasouthernstateofmind.blogspot.com/2015/07/back-roads-good-finds.html
Always in a southern. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Back roads and good finds. Before I completely forget I thought I'd post pictures. From a favorite store {Toscoga} I stumbled on last year. During our annual pilgrimage to the deep South. Once I found it there's no going to this neck of the woods without stopping. Which is what we did last month on our way back to Texas. Its in the tiny town of Thomasville, Georgia. Well maybe not so tiny compared to. The no stoplight town that my dad was born in. Still don'...

Always in a southern. Saturday, August 15, 2015. School is just around the corner for us. I hope to be back to regular blogging then. Here's a couple of things I've been meaning to share. Did you know I am strangely drawn to sunburst mirrors? Like this new to me one. Just no place to put it. For the sales price of $135 and at 42 inches in diameter. I just might be willing to move stuff around. My sister Julie should totally grab this. I'm also obsessed with green geometrics. Then on One Kings Lane. Their...
