The Collage Workbook - Notpaper. Jun 10, 2012. BOLO Magazine 1 - Notpaper. Aug 31, 2011. Marco Nicotra kindly sent me a copy of his new magazine, BOLO. I knew it would be well designed, but I was quite impressed with the way he used the collages and drawings for the two colour book. BOLO 1 is black and white and vibrant blue, and I wonder what other colours he will be experimenting with in the future. Contributors for this issue include: El Reino De La Sandía. And so many more! Graham Hutchinson - Notpaper

http://archive.notpaper.net/2012/05/graham-hutchinson.html

May 17, 2012. I love the raw feeling of Graham's work, how he assembles many layers and different tones of paper. The colours in his collages are very natural and warm, and the black and white photos of people he integrates into them draw me in. Describe your work in 10 words or less. What do you like to work with (magazines, photographs, vintage)? How long have you been creating collages and what made you start? Are you solely an artist, or do you work in another profession? MA, BA (hons) Fine Art.

May 7, 2012. Describe your work in 10 words or less. A reflection of the human body. What do you like to work with (magazines, photographs, vintage)? All original printed materials. Old and new. But specially medical and scientific books. How long have you been creating collages and what made you start? Almost 7 years now after I saw some collages from the propaganda artist John Heartfield. I got so fascinated by his technique. The way he used existing material to tell his story was unique. Notpaper is a...

Evelyn's Crackers: Is Handmade Better?

http://evelynscrackers.blogspot.com/2011/05/is-handmade-better.html

Sunday, May 22, 2011. Not according to my friend's sister, an opinionated artist who says machines make goods cheaper, faster and more consistently. "Why would anyone want to pay more for handmade? You can't even tell the difference.". She has a point. When did we suddenly move away from owning objects for decades? Are we better now for it? Or does it make these things inferior? Ed, Dawn and Evelyn. Labels: 100 years old. June 3, 2011 at 6:44 AM. I believe in handmade Ed! There is a difference- we need t...

Vital Lordelo - Notpaper. Jun 20, 2012. I love how Vital's collages can't possibly be old because of the newness and originality of their composition, but they look aged and worn like historic artifacts. The Collage Workbook - Notpaper

http://archive.notpaper.net/2012/06/the-collage-workbook.html

Jun 11, 2012. Most of you are surely familiar with Randel Plowman, who has created a prolific body of work which was helped along by his "a collage a day" blog. He has now published a book with Lark Crafts. Which is quite well put together and very inspirational. Crafters I am sure will love this book, but I think it will easily benefit collage artists as well. I'm always open to trying new techniques, and it might help curb creative block on those days something just won't stick. June 11, 2012 11:08 AM.
