Thursday, August 18, 2011. Cali Vacation Day Four: Getty Museum. It seems like I get to LA at least once a year to visit my sister and her family and each time I talk about getting up to see the Getty Museum. I had gone to the old, smaller one that was down on Pacific Coast Highway when I was in college and I remember loving it. The new Getty is high on a hill above the 405 freeway and it's huge! Well, the kids and I finally went this time around and I'm so happy that we did! Happy Birthday to Meeeeeee!

Sunday, July 29, 2012. Luke's 11th (Part One). Can't believe my Lukey Bear just turned 11! It was a great couple of days of celebrating for him. On Wednesday night we had a backyard family party. It was a fun, casual evening spent with his Washington cousins. Luke's favorite desserts of all time are donuts and Creme Brulee, so in lieu of a traditional birthday cake he chose to go with both of his faves! It was definitely a sugar overdose on this evening! Sunday, December 25, 2011. Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies (Day Eleven). Okay, this is another super simple cookie, but they are soooooo delicious and easy to make that I had to whip out a batch for Santa! I got this recipe from a fellow drama mama when we were working the concessions booth during the KLHS run of the production of Phantom of the Opera this past spring. Her m&m cookies were so popular that we made her keep bringing them each night. They were a huge seller! 189; c sugar. 2 ¼ c flour.

Saturday, July 28, 2012. The Zoo Friends = Fun. We got together with our good friends, The Kein's, last week. We let the kids decide what we should all do that day and believe it or not, they chose the Woodland Park Zoo! We had a great day together. We celebrated Luke's upcoming birthday and Darlene and I relived our memories of zoo trips from when the kids were babies! Our kids were definitely the oldest at the zoo that day. time flies by too quickly! Maxi in a fox hole. My baby is getting tall!
