There are seven Modes of the Diatonic Scale Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian. If we look at The Major Scale. Chart Ionian would be from C to C where C is the 1 and D is the 2 and so on.
