May 31, 2012. Holy mother of melty mushroom goodness, this sandwich is GOOD. Like, seriously, GOOD. This recipe is basically a low-class cousin to Closet Cooking's " Mushroom Melt. I say low-class because instead of their fontina/gruyere/parmigiano reggiano combination, I used what I had in my fridge. October 19, 2010. Dutch Oven Bread and Star Wars. What happened to late summer/early fall temps? It feels like we went from hot, humid summer to jack frost nipping at my nose. Or maybe I'm just a California girl at heart. Besides wearing 3 layers of clothing inside my apartment to stay warm (apparently in NYC the supers don't turn on the heat until it starts snowing outside), I've discovered a new source of heat - the oven! Prep time: 8hrs or 1hr 45min. Cook Time: 35 minutes. Servings: 1 small loaf.
