So I've started couponing, like many others. But why coupon? I came to the conclusion that starving myself, while a great weight loss tool (Kidding! Wasn't going to work. About this same time I discovered couponing. I started doing research and tried to figure out how these people were buying $800 worth of groceries a week and paying only $1.20! Thru my research I found out that while this works, it's not "PROPER" shopping. Quite honestly, it was illegal what some were doing to get this high discount.

Saturday, April 30, 2011. Shopping Trip 4/18/2011 - Attempt #1. April 18, 2011 - Shopping Trip #1 - Giant Eagle. Today was my first attempt at Couponing. I didn't have many coupons saved yet at this point - only 2 or 3 but I still wanted to have a shot at it. I reviewed my local store's weekly circular and went there with the intent on purchasing only. The items that were on sale and see how I would do. Friday, May 6, 2011. Shopping Trip 5/6/2011 - Attempt #3. I stopped at Giant Eagle today, as I had to run to Kmart and it's right next door, to check if my raincheck items were stocked yet, and to pickup a great deal on Ground Beef. Here's the tally. 3 X Pepsi Max 2 L = FREE (Raincheck from previous week's sale: Purchase a Tostitos Bag and Salsa get 2 Liter of Pepsi Max FREE). Store Brand Plastic Cups (I desperately needed these) = $3.49 (I HATE buying these, I'm going to try to find an alternative).
