Despite the jungle being cold and that being rather disappointing, the Iguazu falls themselves have been pretty amazing. They are just SO huge. This entry was posted in South America. Travelog and Edinburgh Blog. After a 3 year hiatus the Dobson’s blog is back. Big Sandcastles and a bit of fun. Ilha Grande →. The strangest food ever. This contrasted with the best place we found to eat which was a Brazilian grill round the corner from our hotel, where you paid a set price for a buffet and they kept coming around with the most amazing grilled meats on skewers and you ate as much as you liked we’ve never had such good grilled meat as here, the beef really lives up to its Pampas reputation.

Travelog and Edinburgh Blog. After a 3 year hiatus the Dobson’s blog is back. The strangest food ever. A bad night on Caipirinha’s →. After a long car trip from Rio, we took a crazy rusty ferry across to the island, which was not quite full of chickens and cows, but was certainly full of everyone’s shopping, so was very interesting and fun:. Our boat transfer and the hotel itself were a little bit smarter than the ferry:. We have even managed to find a woodgie woo on one of our walks! The dog on the pitch.

Friday, September 14, 2012. First day of school! Back to school for the kiddos! Emma could not wait! Chloe was not excited about getting up early again but excited to eat lunch at school like her older sister! Everett was thankfully excited to be going also but keeps asking why he can't stay all day like his sisters! Everett did very good when we got to his classroom! He went in and sat at his seat without hesitation- which considering how shy he is was a blessing! They all had a great day! It was a fun ...

Travelog and Edinburgh Blog. After a 3 year hiatus the Dobson’s blog is back. Leopards are one of my favourite animals so in South Africa I was very keen to see one. Unfortunately no-one was very supportive of this and told me several times that to see a leopard we would have to have come at least 3 times – but on only the second night we found ourselves driving around, looking for one that had been seen that morning! It even walked up the tree, ate some of the remaining Impala – Springbok-type ant...
We Miss You...
Elizabeth May Dobson and John William Dobson. As we look back over time. We find ourselves wondering …. Did we remember to thank you enough. For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides. To help and support us …. To celebrate our successes. To understand our problems. And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example,. The value of hard work, good judgment,. We wonder if we ever thanked you. For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best?
