All the rumors are true: peace corps is temporarily pulling volunteers out of honduras. the news fell on my ears with shock and shock is what is remaining in the wake of such malas noticias. Months have gone by and it feels like a much shorter amount of a time. i returned from the states to say goodbye to some dear friends and move in with my honduran neighbors. life is good. we are joined by a cat, pancho, and a dog, oso. pancho follows me around and likes to sleep bien pegado. August 20, 2010. I really hated doing laundry in the states. i have been known to wait an entire month just to go to the laundromat and do it all at one time. my way of ripping off the band-aid. Some weird purple. apparently, the soak phase only has a maximum time of 2 hours. good to know. I don't think i'll ever hate washing laundry in one of those fancy machines ever again.
