Tuesday, February 05, 2008. Whilst Carla was here, we took a trippy-dippy to Venice - we left on Wednesday, December 12 and stayed until late Friday the 14th. WOO HOO! We did TONS of walking and walking and walking . there are no vehicles in Venice (bikes, motor scooters, cars, etc.) and the only transportation is by gondola, water boat or walking. On a side note, Melissa went to school last Monday (Feb. 9) and the roads were a thick sheet of ice. Melissa's bus was in a bit of an accident - the driver lost control and hit a yield sign and a fire hydrant. The kids on that bus were given a free pass - no school! At Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Friday, May 09, 2008. April 5-11, 2008. It was Spring Break and we loaded up a. Ll of our stuff (along with the Smith and Takacs families) and headed on down to Cornwall (the south-western most part of England). Carla was here. Visiting, too (poor Carla - it's her last visit here whilst we are living here). Instead of doing the whole hotel thing, we rented a "holiday cottage" (aka trailer) for the week. It's. Monday, April 27, 2009. We had a busy, fun-filled Easter weekend! In conjunction with 'spring break' - I use the term loosely because the kiddos only had Friday, Monday and Tuesday - we decided to pack everyone up and go to the Mall of America. Over 6 years of Love and Adventure! Saturday, June 9, 2007. Lakenheath had a Dog show Today! So We entered the cutest dog in the world Dolche! He did so well there were a bunch of dogs and only 3 chances to win something! He knows a lot of tricks but he wouldn't do any of them so we Lost that one! He then did Best Dressed with his Pumpkin costume on and the final test was best in show out of 20 dogs he won Best Dressed! We were so proud of him he got the biggest prize! He was the cutest one there!

Friday, August 29, 2008. It was Military Appreciation Night at our wonderful local university. It also happens to be the university I am registered with so we decided to attend last night's game against Texas A&M. There was face painting, balloon twisting and bouncy castles galore!
