But for the past two years I've either been: (1) pregnant; (2) trying to get pregnant; or (3) nursing. So, caffeine intake has been severely limited. Tonight I entered a Starbucks near Times Square, and discovered the pleasures of a decaf Frappuccino. The polite teenager sitting next to me watched me as I downed the whole thing in about 30 seconds.

Hard to describe how amazing it was to see how my baby Sister has grown into such an accomplished young lady! When I got to my parents' house, my dad showed me a beautiful sight in the back yard. And some not so great news - I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant, and I expected it would go away after birth. But it did not, and now it turns out that I'm pre-diabetic!
