I was trying to video tape and hold Kyle, so I didn't get a chance to take pictures during the singing. Then when I tried to take pictures when the kids were sitting on Santa's lap, my camera died, but here is a picture of his buddy Emmet from school. And then a picture of the Christmas cookies that I made to take along for the kids' snack.

Around the Maxwell House. Saturday, June 27, 2009. We tried to go berry picking this past Wednesday and it didn't go nearly as well. It was very hot and humid, so both boys just sat in the row and whined. Ben wanted to bring two huge tupperware bowls along and we hardly got one half full. The berries were nice, but you had to look a lot harder to find them. Ben in his "cowboy hat" with his basket of berries that he is bringing to put in the bowl (usually like 4-5 berries). Around the Maxwell House. Monday, December 28, 2009. Since it was a couple weeks between his party with extended family and his birthday, we saved most of his presents from us for his actual birthday. I think we was pretty excited. Ben has been asking for a new booster seat for awhile, but we haven't invested in one. He previously had a high-back booster that was a hand-me-down from a friend. So, he got his first backless booster. You can't see it, but there are big smiles behind that box.

We typically would have opened presents on Saturday while we were out there, but Santa was not available to make his annual appearance until Monday, so we had to stay another day. Around the Maxwell House. Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Fun at the Fair. This little girl hopped in the car with Ben and put her arm around him during the ride. It was really quite precious. Papa tried to take Kyle on a ride, but he screamed the whole time. It started raining, so we ended up going to watch the goat show for awhile until Kyle decided he was too tired to cooperate. Yesterday after supper, Calvin took the boys downstairs, so I stayed upstairs to fold the two baskets of laundry that were waiting for me. One basket was Kyle's sheets that he threw up on Thursday night along with clothes from his room and some miscellaneous stuff that was setting on top of the washing machine when I started the load. Around the Maxwell House. Friday, October 30, 2009. The boys were so excited yesterday when the Dump Truck and Backhoe came. We couldn't get coats and shoes on fast enough. Ben watched very carefully. It looks like he is awful close in this picture, but he was out of the way of the workers. Here they are running a new pipe from the septic out to the old dry wells.
