Denise's Drawing Board: November 2013
http://thedrawingboardblog.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 23, 2013. It's getting colder and it feels winter is on its way! Perfect timing to share these layouts I did a few years back for the Disney Fairies property. I don't think all the pages came out very good but I did enjoy telling this story through these images. I particularly like how these two spreads ended up. Please go to the portfolio section. To see more. Thanks for stopping by! Labels: black and white. Saturday, November 16, 2013. Welcome to my blog! Since I had my nieces in min...

Denise's Drawing Board: Pixie Dust Away!
http://thedrawingboardblog.blogspot.com/2015/03/pixie-dust-away.html
Thursday, March 12, 2015. Of course it all affected our work in a big way. but I thought it was a nice evolution. They began to create stories written with new characters that are not in the films, but did contain some main elements from the films that contributed a great deal to the new adventures. Below is one of the images from a story completely centered around the music fairy, Trill. And this book was focused entirely on a scout fairy named Mika. Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. Oh, this next one ...

http://thedrawingboardblog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. Back again to speak about more bunnies as we enter the season of Spring. Well, Spring has not really "sprung" here in Milan yet, but looking forward to it after these last cold weeks. OK, I have 2 sets of bunnies to show you from the Woodland Line. The first set is more from the Western culture, while the second set has a more of an Eastern flavor. The Western set started with these small sketches of bunnies. I thought the little guy on the right would work as he looked kind of...

Denise's Drawing Board: Tink... The Continuing Saga
http://thedrawingboardblog.blogspot.com/2015/03/tink-continuing-saga.html
Thursday, March 5, 2015. Tink The Continuing Saga. Here we are again, and this time I want to share with you the development on a couple of the fairies. Some of the main characters of the initial stories – like Rani, Fira or Beck – never made it to the films and thus became the lesser known "girl gang" that surrounded Tink. But their counterparts – Silvermist, Irridessa and Fawn – despite being secondary characters in the books, found their way to the screen. Anyway, back to the development process:.

http://thedrawingboardblog.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 22, 2013. We're now down to the wire in preparation for Christmas so I'll keep this short. Just wanted to get in one more ornament before the big day to share.
