Philippa Gregory wrote a great novel called "The Other Boleyn Girl", which is about Anne Boleyn's sister Mary. Apparently, the prettier Mary had been the mistress of Henry VIII before he became involved with Anne. The smarter Anne though didn't want to become a mistress. She wanted to become queen. My favorite Philippa Gregory novels are A Respectable Trade. 1860s - Civil War.
