Except the dirt, and sweat, and sleepless nights. Other than that, we have a ball. You will find that when every ounce counts, an ounce of vodka is worth it's weight in gold. All 6 of us! Henry's first year, and at 4 he's the youngest Sawyer yet. Possibly the cutest too. 30 pounds on her back! And not a single whine.

Thursday, February 13, 2014. Heading to the mountains for our favorite winter vacation! Two year old Jack. When there were just two! I told these two to pick up their clothes laying around downstairs. They didn't really want to haul everything upstairs. Pile it all on top of what they were already wearing. Chad, Megan and Lucas. Friday, April 15, 2011. Although the weather is crappy right now (rain, cool, windy) it was beautiful in the beginning of the week and we had our windows open. Chad came home one evening with a "surprise" for Lucas. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a little pink piece to one of Lucas' toys that he found on the busy sidewalk outside of our building. Lucas dropped the piece from our window! I hope that the piece didn't fall on anyone passing by! I'm a little worried.

Thursday, July 2, 2015. Beginning of Hawaii life. So we arrived in Hawaii on June 24th, almost a month ago. We were greeted in true Hawaiian style by several Chaplain families with lots of leis! What a sweet surprise and blessing! They took good care of us and got us settled in our temporary lodging with some dinner and food. So thankful for the kind welcome we received. We spent one week in the "Villas" (which is just a nice way of saying old condos) before we were offered a permanent house on base.
