http://leshers.blogspot.com/2008/04/cape-horn.html
Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thursday, April 24, 2008. After leaving Ushuaia, the southern most city in the world, we left the Beagle Channel and cruised out around Cape Horn! Hum, here we go. Knowing it was going to be blustery cold overcast morning, it was so hard to get out of bed. But, how could I miss seeing it! According to the ships log(as mentioned below the other day), the winds were force 10 to 11! Labels: Cruise Chile to Argentina. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Reflections of our family life living outside the "box". Monday, March 22, 2010. Random thoughts about the calm before the storm. The calm before the storm! So here we are relaxing at Casa Isabel. A Boutique Hotel with a fabulous restaurant, my absolute favorite in Puerto Vallarta! I prefer the couch with coffee table seating offering a birds eye view of the ambiance inleu of the rail side tables and chairs for the "close up view". The best time to be here is at sun set - phenomenal ambiance! Puerto Vall...

Beyond our Border("s"): February 2009
http://beyondourborder.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Reflections of our family life living outside the "box". Thursday, February 26, 2009. Bienvenidos a Mexico.2 long days. Traveling from Victoria, Texas to Nuevo. Laredo, Mexico was about 385 miles. Texas to me was just flat, dry, not terribly scenic and well, boring. Of course we only saw a small sample of the state. I personally love to see mountains, foliage, water etc. Before crossing the border we spotted a WalMart. Our friends from sailing yacht "Cabaret", who we just visited in Florida several.

Reflections of our family life living outside the "box". Sunday, July 26, 2009. Camping and boating on Hungry Horse Resevoir. Hungry Horse dam and reservoir. Is located right outside of West Glacier Park. Friday Ken called "50" of his friends with an invitation to go camping at the "closed" campground located along the Hungry Horse Reservoir. Why the closed campground you may ask? No other campers there! So we packed up again, and off we went just for the weekend. Austin was up and going right away!

Lesher Land Adventures: Punta Arenas
http://leshers.blogspot.com/2008/04/punta-arenas.html
Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thursday, April 17, 2008. This is a statue of Magellan in the square of Punta Arenas, Chile. Apparently according to legend, if you kiss his foot you will return to Punta Arenas someday. Wouldn't mind returning to the awe of the Patagonia but imagine the germs! During our jaunt through the city we discovered an arts and crafts fair. Apparently, this indigo blue lapis is one of the local mined gems. Labels: Cruise Chile to Argentina. Monserrat and her grandmother prepared a delicious Mexican feast for us upon arrival. This molcajete you see below was given to me by the grandmother. I told her I had been shopping for a good authentic one at a great price. What a generous gift that I will cherish! Delicious salsa was finished in no time. It's one thing to be a tourist and have the opportunity to see things fro...
