http://thedyslexicmusician.blogspot.com/2016/05/courage-weakness-and-pundit.html
Disslexic Muzishin without the dictionary. Thursday, May 26, 2016. Courage, Weakness, and Pundit Professionals. Lately, my husband has been on my case to write (and publish) a book about dyslexia in the music field. I've given presentations locally, regionally, and nationally, have had an article published in Claiver Companion. And have had several fellow piano/music teachers ask my advice on working with students who exhibit issues with reading music. I've got outlines, pages (and pages. How many of you.
The Dyslexic Musician: Hands Full of Notes
http://thedyslexicmusician.blogspot.com/2017/01/hands-full-of-notes.html
Disslexic Muzishin without the dictionary. Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Hands Full of Notes. I have a studio recital soon, on which I'll be playing three Liszt concert etudes by memory. And reading Secondo on several beginner student duets. Guess which of these I'm freaking out about? Hint: It's not the Liszt. I was playing the Secondo of a simple Schubert Marche with a student. My thoughts went something like this:. Sounds like a joke, right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Devote lesson time to keep these students on track with making their eyeballs and brains do the work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Travel theme. Powered by Blogger.

The Dyslexic Musician: "The Little Engine that CAN"
http://thedyslexicmusician.blogspot.com/2016/09/the-little-engine-that-can.html
Disslexic Muzishin without the dictionary. Tuesday, September 27, 2016. The Little Engine that CAN". Remember the children's story, "The Little Engine that Could"? While other, bigger, more impressive engines failed to climb the hill, the little blue engine thought to herself, "I think I can, I think I can." And of course, she made it up the hill, then chanted to herself all the way down, "I thought I could, I thought I could! Be supportive of what the student can. Do And remember that every student has ...

Monday, April 23, 2012. An Extra Special Easter. Easter was EXTRA, EXTRA special this year. Not only was it a day to celebrate our risen lord and savior, but it was the day Rylie showed publicly her acceptance of Jesus into her heart as her personal saviour! Although she made the decision back in December, it finally worked out now to do the baptism and it couldn't have been a more special day. Fun Day, Sun Day. The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better trip. She loves summer time!
