http://newyoungelder.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
The New Young Elder and The Experience of Change. The experiences of a young Quaker with new feeling for what religion is to me. Saturday, January 06, 2007. I have been really busy recently between getting into college and school. The good news is that I have gotten into Guilford College with a scholarship and more options ahead. The not so good news is that I have a few more weeks before I hear from Earlham. Ps I am loving the messages others are giving even though I am not writing some of my own.

The New Young Elder and The Experience of Change. The experiences of a young Quaker with new feeling for what religion is to me. Sunday, October 01, 2006. My parents 20th wedding aniversary was on September 20th and Grace and I organized making them a quilt. Unwavering Bands of Light: Staying awake to God
http://unwaveringbandsoflight.blogspot.com/2006/05/staying-awake-to-god.html
Unwavering Bands of Light. Meditations on Quakerism, Christianity, and how we manifest our divinity as God's children. Staying awake to God. "Ooh, something smells good over there.". So it was with the first article in the newest Friends Journal. At that point, I started giggling. In meeting for worship. I know f...

Unwavering Bands of Light: Suspenders, stomachaches, and the articulation of leadings

Unwavering Bands of Light. Meditations on Quakerism, Christianity, and how we manifest our divinity as God's children. Suspenders, stomachaches, and the articulation of leadings. About a month ago, I started giving away clothing by the bag-load. A few days ago, I cut the collars off of three solid-color, long sleeve shirts. Whenever I find a ride to my local Goodwill, I'm buying suspenders and switching from jeans to black pants. Shouldn't the awareness of God come from inside, not outside? I don't neces...

The New Young Elder and The Experience of Change. The experiences of a young Quaker with new feeling for what religion is to me. Yesterday I get on email from Providence (PA) Meeting that they would be holding a vigil for the 4,000th American troop death. I was struck that it had not been much more than a year since I had been to a vigil at with them commemorating the 3000th death. As they approached the village to which th...
