Taming the Thorsons: June 2015
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. So in the kid's terms, our trip to Aspen was the "best vacation ever"! We have had pretty amazing vacation in the pasts, and I know that kids have a hard time comparing those kinds of things-but it still felt good that despite my racing addiction we managed to have a pretty nice family weekend. Finishing up Ragnar Trail Relay in Snowmass Village left me feeling pretty run down. I mean I was running on 1 hour of sleep by the time we reunited at the finish line. School is over and s...

Taming the Thorsons: August 2015
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. This past year I have had the awesome opportunity of being an ambassador for Ragnar Road Relay Series for their race in Colorado. It is has been so fun meeting other people who love this series as much as me, and together sharing our Ragnar love! I made the decision to captain a team early this year, which comes with the pressure of finding 12 people. My Dad may never forgive but I found my 1st 3 members on instagram! They were from PA and within a few weeks of talking and planni...

Taming the Thorsons: September 2014
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. I am have been dragging my feet when it came to updating the blog because I have been wanting to post pictures of our new house. Yes, we are officially homeowners now! We absolutely love our house and the neighborhood. We even had a neighbor bring us flowers to welcome us! Alas, the house is a disaster zone despite our daily trips to home depot so there are no pictures to prove its beauty. But doesn't the front look good? We are slowly settling into a routine. All the kids...

Taming the Thorsons: August 2014
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2014. And told me to come back. I also hooked up with an "instagram" friend and her trail dog (don't tell my dad-he hates that I am so vocal on social media and the internet) and had an amazing run with her in the Garden of the Gods. All in all, even with the hyperventilating, the views are amazing.words can't even express. I think I am going to like my running adventures here! Could it really happen that we could get 2 kids in the same sport! The sky ride at the zoo. Then we ended th...

Taming the Thorsons: Sweeter with Age
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2015/08/sweeter-with-age.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Joel and I are now another year older. On July 9th and July 10th we turned 36. There was a brief moment where I felt totally guilty that we hadn't brought the kids as it was so magical and fantastic! But of course the moment did pass. The kids and I designed a scavenger hunt on Joel's birthday with the big present in the end being a family night at a Colorado Rockies Game. The Rockies lost (very sad) but I learned about rally caps! Yup, I really didn't know this was a thing.

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The moments started with our annual trip to Busch Gardens. It is free for military in the summers and we always take advantage of this! We also bring along "cousin Alyson" to help mange having kids running in every different direction. Jesse and cousin Alyson on the swings. Josie is definitely not getting her license anytime soon! Asher is our roller coaster junkie! He rode every single one in the park. And a few he rode multiple times! Joel with Graham Boutz, Jeff Beers, and Russ...

Taming the Thorsons: November 2014
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 24, 2014. Today's post was going to be a running entry until the weekend happened to me. A weekend that I feel like was a dream and I have found myself now awake back to the Monday blues of swim practice, grocery shopping, and kid's fighting. Did it really happen? Yes, I have the pictures and a ring on my finger to prove it! Seriously, sometimes a girl has just got to brag. Friday night at 10pm, my mother in law walked in (from Minnesota-surprise! This is what I found waiting for me in o...

Taming the Thorsons: May 2014
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 19, 2014. My parents came to visit over Mother's Day weekend but I wouldn't say it was a "vacation" for them! We dragged them around to various kids activities but it was a lovely time together! They were able to witness Jesse's first time getting 3 hits during a baseball game and being awarded the game ball, participate in Grandparent's day at school, steal some snuggles on the couch, and make homemade ravioli and sauce with me! Grammie and Josie sounds asleep. Ready for the race! I got anot...
