Braised lamb shank, cooked for over five hours, fall off the bone tender. The Place Masséna is a large open square where the old city meets the newer areas. The plaza dates from the 17th century. Off one side of the square is a fountain that is over a block long. Some of the lavender for which Provence is famous.

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Before and After: Small Chest of Drawers. A very sweet friend, Carol Vickery gave me this small. Chest of drawers about a month ago. It belonged to her in-laws and she. Very kindly and generously thought of me. When she came across it as she was spring cleaning. I must tell you that I was very proud of myself for remembering. To take a picture of the "before", I always forget! And here is the after! I used Annie Sloan's pure white on the body of the chest. What do you think?

The Eclectic Crafter

For the last few weeks Ive been doing quite a bit of Christmas crafting including these Mexican style ornaments. These ornaments are based on vintage McCalls templates and were originally designed to make balsa wood ornaments but Sue had the idea to convert them into embroidered ones.  Sue has kindly made the templates available here.
