I have featured pineapples a few times before on my blog, as I am a fan. So when we visited the Harvest exhibition at GOMA recently, one of my favorite parts was the pineapple feature. We had been house hunting for 7 months non-stop. Looking in an area close enough to the school but the house had to have the special 'something'. We had already made 5 unsuccessful offers on other homes over the 7 months but as the market in this area is so full on we always missed out. Here are the before.

Finally, we have a home that has the most perfect spot ever for Nan's buffet. I have owned this for years now, it has served as a beauty room work bench, as storage in daughters room and then a room divider. My sister and I went to Paddington, {a gorgeous inner city suburb of Brisbane, in this instance, for those of you who don't know} to buy birthday and Mother's Day presents for our Mum! We also did manage to fit in a spot of afternoon tea at Monty's Chocolates. I love a visit to Paddington. But what made it extra special this time was this. Look what I found! Monday, May 6, 2013. Pictures for my kitchen. I am so happy that my lease on my little house in Tarragindi has just been renewed for another year - no dreaded move, thank goodness! However I am still settling in to my "new place". Rejigging, finding what works, reorganising. A year is not enough time apparently. And perfectly, I was able to use a page from one of my 2012 calendars. I think they make a sweet pair. Love to reuse stuff to stop it from becoming, well. just stuff. Those frames are great!

Monday, October 1, 2012. I will miss all the pink! Santos City Of Lights - 2012 - wonderful! The Lantern Garden at Southbank. All of the gorgeous photos were taken by Liam with the guidance of his Grandad. My parents gave him a camera and lens for this 15th birthday recently and Dad has been giving him lessons ever since. I photographed 4 coats and one vest. I have no proper lighting yet and the lights I used were just horrible but I only had less than 2 hours to do the project. First stop was a picnic at Canungra Winery. Looking at the family of turtles. Then we did the surprisingly easy drive from Canungra to Mt Tamborine,.
