Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Watching the groundhog make his weather prediction. Skating outside on the street (a rare event in Texas). A lot of coloring was done. Friday, January 6, 2012. These are some random shots leading up to Christmas. I asked Aidan to help me unwrap the kisses when I was making cookies. He created this long process, his 'machine', to help with the job. I think I ended up unwrapping most of them myself. He tended to drop a lot of them so he had to eat them :). This was the day of their Christmas parties at school. Kiersten and the goat at the church's Happy Birthday With Love event. No tears this year, no smile either, but that is progress.

Wednesday, January 12, 2011. On Saturday night, the weather forecasters were predicting big snow. We were a little disappointed that we woke up to only rain. About 11am though, the rain changed to big, wet snowflakes. What a fun treat to enjoy after church. The boys built a snowman. Monday, March 21, 2011. At the end of February, I took the kids to the Dallas Zoo. Kiersten wanted to walk everywhere and Aidan wanted to see everything. We were there all day. Loving the Warm Weather. We have been enjoying the chance to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather. Kiersten's first bike ride. A walk in the wagon. A trip to the park. Aidan and the Blazers. Aidan was very interested in President's Day this year. He wanted to make decorations for the house. Kiersten's Valentines for school.

Sunday, January 2, 2011. Christmas gets better and better every year as the kids get older. Aidan was really into it this year and even Kiersten was unwrapping like a pro by the end of the day. It is so much fun to watch the joy on their faces. The family on Christmas Eve. Aidan checking out his stocking. And even by the end of the season, Kiersten has still not warmed up to Santa. Friday, December 30, 2011. Aidan decorated Darren's entire bedroom to look like a jungle for his birthday. There were animals and vines all over the place. In November, we decided to go camping. It was the first time for the four of us all to go together. We headed up to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Smores by the fire. Thie first night in the tent turned into playtime for the first hour or so. It was fueled by all the static electricity and fleecey pajama fun. Hiking in the hills.
