I have decided to:. 1 Not sweat the small stuff - cancer puts things in perspective. A lot of things that used to irritate me is now just water off a duck's back. Musings on the Big C. Saturday, 30 July 2011. Is it hot in here? Then it dawned upon me - here it was finally, one of the dreaded effects of chemotherapy. Hot flushes and early menopause. Although initially I had felt sad about this (I wrote about it in an earlier blog entry) today I felt absolutely nothing. Just acceptance. Musings on the Big C. Monday, 19 December 2011. Nearly a month ago, I took off all the bandages from my lumpectomy and was staring at Mr Tit-man's handiwork in the bathroom mirror. Needless to say, my breast was bruised and battered. LH was in the bedroom so I called out: 'Come and take a look at my Frankenstein boob! He then answered with a very adamant 'No way'. Starting tomorrow and till Friday I will be receiving a boost in radiation levels to make sure that all the cancer is gone. Who knows?
