إنجازات البلدية في السنوات الثلاث الأولى في سطور . بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على أشرف خلق الله سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين لقد قد ر الله لي تول ي المسئولية برئاسة المجلس البلدي في بلدتي الحبيبة فنيدق ، واضعا نصب عيني التنمية الشاملة للبلدة في شتى. ضمن اطار مشروع السلام و الممول من برنامج "عيش لبنان- LIVE LEBANON" التابع ل UNDP و بالتنسيق مع بلدية فنيدق تم بناء أقنية ري بطول 1600 متر في مناطق : السد(منطقة الفتوح) مراح التين ( شرقي و غربي) الغابة.

أرجح الظن أن كلمة فنيدق هي تصغير لكلمة فندق. نزل) وقد أطلق عليها هذا الإسم لكونها محطة لعبور القوافل ونقطة وصل بين طرابلس والبقاع ، وهذه التسمية تعود الى اللغة الإغريقية ، واشتقت من اللغة العربية كلمة فندق ، وتتميز هذه البلدة بموقع جبال القموعة الحرجية الكثيفة، وغابة العزر النادرة في العالم ومغارة نبع فنيدق . أما من ناحية الآثار التاريخية القديمة ففي البلدة نواويس محفورة في الصخر ، تحمل نقوشا رومانية الى جانب بناء قديم يعرف اليوم بقلعة عارومة . كلم ، وعن العاصمة بيروت 120. م ويصل في منطقة القموعة الى 1650.
