The Pike Family: Doors, windows... escape hatches?
http://pike2008.blogspot.com/2010/09/doors-windows-escape-hatches.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. Doors, windows. escape hatches? In life, when one door closes. You stand around in the hallway, not sure what to do. There’s gotta be an open door around here somewhere…. Jared applied for the U.S. Border Patrol a few weeks ago but didn’t pass the written exam. While this is certainly not the end of the world, it does throw a wrench or two in the gears. We’re back to the drawing board. *HEAVY SIGH*. Hopefully on vacation. That would be nice.). Time has amazing perspective.

Thursday, October 27, 2011. Wow, we haven’t posted since January! I’ve been feeling really boring lately, like my life has gotten into a rut and we haven’t done anything exciting in a while. March was a busy month- we traded in the truck for a YELLOW car! In July we went up to Utah for a mini family reunion when Ammon came home from his miss...

Monday, February 8, 2010. Go run a hill. It's been over a month since the last post, lots to report - here goes. Bike - I was just 70 miles short of my goal of 5000 miles last year, but I feel pretty good about it. I know it helped me get in shape and feel better - the saving on gas and vehicle costs was a bonus. Running - Since the start of the year, I've gotten more serious about running and gotten off the bike more or less. I'm in training for the Ragnar relay. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Go to countd...

Monday, September 21, 2009. So this is crazy, but. I have heard from some friends about a really awesome race called the RAGNAR Relay. It is a running race (done by teams of 6 or 12) that goes from Prescott to Mesa - 202 miles in all! Each person runs three times over the course of about 30 hours anywhere from 3 to 8 miles each leg. I have heard that it is a crazy fun time. It will be in February 26 and 27, 2010. I want to do it - who's in? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jared and Christin Pike Family.

Friday, January 1, 2010. Bike Service Project - Part Deux. Here's the belated report on the fun bike service project we helped with a couple of weeks ago. By the time we got there Saturday at 8:30 AM, most of the first 1500 bikes were already put together! There were another 35oo bikes that would be delivered later that day, but we couldn't stay and wait. The sight of that many bikes would have been awesome. Almost as awesome as seeing the thousands of happy kids riding them away. Little Moments Like This.

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Last week was an outstanding event, a mini triathlon in Pima Arizona sponsored by the Coronado District of the Boy Scouts of America. We took 10 boys and 3 adults from our unit. We arrived around 7:00 PM and got registered and 'marked' right away. We set up camp and had some pizza provided by our Stake. Many thanks to the organizers of this event and for the gracious people of Pima. Thanks to all the youth leaders for preparing our young men, you are awesome. MD, JD So What?
