Pleasant Boundaries: Potty Bag
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2012/05/potty-bag.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. I love having friends who think more highly of my skills than I do. They challenge me to attempt projects that I would otherwise avoid. Thanks to my young friend, Kelly, though, it has now been determined that a toddler backpack is not so daunting. I bought Rae's pattern. Which helped me to envision how the backpack should look. The fabric store didn't have any piping that I liked, so I made my own:. Head on over to Amy's Sew and Tell. May 26, 2012 at 1:34 AM. I love the piping....

Pleasant Boundaries: A Sewing Check Up
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2011/10/sewing-check-up.html
Wednesday, October 12, 2011. A Sewing Check Up. I tend to dwell in either feast or famine. Hot or cold. Burning or Freezing. You get the idea. I live life on a pendulum, swinging from finding no motivation whatsoever to being overwhelmed with a list I can't possibly fill in any reasonable timeframe. I've talked before about lists. And mine tend to haunt me at night. When we moved here, it took me WEEKS to get back into sewing. Quite a while back, I mentioned that I aspire to meet this challenge. For inst...

Pleasant Boundaries: Twenty-One Years... And Counting
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2013/06/twenty-one-years-and-counting_13.html
Thursday, June 13, 2013. Twenty-One Years. And Counting. דודי לי ואני לו. My beloved is mine, and I am his". It has been so long since I've posted here that I've had a hard time figuring out where to start again. Our 21st anniversary seems like the perfect place to begin! I feel like we've lived two lifetimes in the past two decades, and it has been a grand adventure! God called Craig long ago to be the leader that he is today , and from him He has made "many". As a "daughter of Sarah" (ref. I Peter ...

Pleasant Boundaries: So, I've Been Craving a New Bag...
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2012/04/so-ive-been-craving-new-bag.html
Sunday, April 8, 2012. So, I've Been Craving a New Bag. I fell in love with this fabric. When I made this apron. I love the size of this bag - although if I fill it to capacity, my shoulder may not love it. Graham remarked on its size as soon as I showed it to the family. It's even big enough to fit "Menina". Who wasn't exactly enthusiastic over being used as a prop). That, of course, includes the interfacing; but really! In case you would like to make one for yourself, it's the Cosmo Bag from Amy Butler.

Pleasant Boundaries: Cutest Little Mama Lately
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2012/07/cutest-little-mama-lately.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. Cutest Little Mama Lately. We bade farewell to our precious guests this morning after nine wonderful days of their sweet fellowship. Kait is a lovely picture of godly womanhood, striving to honor the Lord and love her husband, Zach, and her son, Bruce (and any other "arrows" the Lord sends to fill their quiver). Kait was interested in this fabric. Which I had used in this nursing cover. After perusing my stash, she quickly amassed a lovely sampling of Amy Butler. In trying to figur...

Pleasant Boundaries: Trying Again
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2011/10/trying-again.html
Saturday, October 29, 2011. I love to cook;. But if I walk into the kitchen and find a mess, I can't even slice an onion or boil water without first getting everything organized. I am my father's daughter.). Not so in the sewing room! I've been itching to conquer this project (and to get it done in time to post on Amy's Sew and Tell. When I entered my sewing room after breakfast this morning, I had a moral dilemma:. Or just dive into the project? It was a hard mess to resist. But resist I did! We didn...

Pleasant Boundaries: Decisions... Decisions
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2010/05/decisions-decisions.html
Friday, May 7, 2010. I've been too sick to work out this week, so when arose early this morning, I had a different plan. But which sewing project to tackle first? After a brief moment of thought, I think I chose wisely. I cut out the pieces for this Amy Butler Birdie Sling. Several weeks ago, but found that I didn't have all that I needed to put it together at the time. Well, today was the day to put it together, and boy am I glad I did! It's time, once again, to go and see what the others have been up t...

Pleasant Boundaries: Table & Chair Rescue
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2012/09/table-chair-rescue.html
Friday, September 21, 2012. Table and Chair Rescue. I need to decide what to do with the bird puzzle in the background. We finished it earlier this summer and glued it together. I'd like to make it into a tray or something. With our infatuation with credentials, it's refreshing to find those who still just dive right in and use their skills. One can't argue with results, and Miss Mustard Seed. I'm thinking that I must add Miss Mustard Seed. To my "Dream Kibbutz". A while back, I started recycling. Recent...

Pleasant Boundaries: Soft Globe Trial
http://pleasantboundaries.blogspot.com/2012/01/soft-globe-trial.html
Saturday, January 14, 2012. My to-do list is looming over me like a bad debt, but I managed to at least breathe some of the air in my sewing room this week. I debated over whether to even post this, but here it is - my trial run. I saw fabric globes similar to this (Ha! At a local decorating store. I fell in love with them, but the price would repel any sensible shopper. For several months, I've wanted to see if I can come up with a suitable substitute. Kudos to Craig Grayson and Morgan, who provided fue...
