Seeing America

Saturday, June 30, 2012. Day 17: We made it! We have met some interesting characters and some fantastically kind people along the way. You see some crazy things in a campground laundry room or on the train that burrows into the heart of Boston. And there is nothing like sharing a campground bathroom with a group of complete strangers. (Although I must say that the bathroom in Québec was way nicer than my bathroom at home! I'll leave you with a few trip stats:. Miles traveled: 3,927. Fuel used: 400 gallons.

Seeing America: Day 8: Acadia National Park

http://www.thefellensteins.blogspot.com/2012/06/day-8-acadia-national-park.html

Thursday, June 21, 2012. Day 8: Acadia National Park. Hi, it's Katy,. Today our family went to Acadia National Park. At the park, my family and I took the RV up Cadillac Mountain. It was a steep and curvy drive, but we made it. If you stood on a tall rock you could see everything! On top of Cadillac Mountain. While we were at Acadia we went to a beach called Sand Beach. The water was very clear. We went there twice, once just to check it out and another time to swim. We had a cool day! Day 17: We made it!

Thursday, June 14, 2012. Day 1: East to Maryland. We left right on schedule at 7 am and arrived in Cumberland to have lunch with Bill's Aunt Mary. She lives right downtown and showed us some of the sights. It was really nice to see her. We're spending the night in Millersville, MD, just south of Baltimore. Ready to hit the road. Lunch with Aunt Mary in downtown Cumberland. The giant jumping pillow at the campground. Tomorrow: A quick trip to Annapolis and then the wild ponies on Chincoteague Island.

Thursday, June 28, 2012. Day 15: Final new state, Vermont! We crossed back over to the USA this morning entering our final new state of the trip: Vermont. The northeast is beautiful and rugged; a nature lover's paradise. We will be back someday. With Vermont, all four of us have visited 33 states in our quest to visit all 50 states some day. We still have the southeast and the northwest to see. Tomorrow we plan to check out Olympic venues from the 1980 Olympic games. I miss the cats and the goats. Day 4:...

Wednesday, December 1, 2010. February always brings the most snow. My kids were sooo happy that the plow left a huge pile of snow in my neighbor's driveway that they could make a snow fort with. To be a kid again! Ashlyn got a retainer to fix her top front teeth. They were hiding behind her bottom front teeth. The retainer worked too! She's all fixed up. Noah got his weblos badge this year. Friday, January 1, 2010. BEST WISHES FOR 2010! Ashyln's School Holiday Party. One thing at a time. It's true, Tristan turned 13 on Dec. 15th. I am way to young to have a teenager in the house. Really I am! Thought it would be cute to put some reindeer antlers on Belle and take some pics with the kids. One problem.Belle hated the reindeer antlers and kept using her paw to take them off. She is definitely not a dress up kind of dog. Luckily we were able to get a few good shots. Noah thought the play was "h...
