http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/02/wow-what-night.html
Sunday, February 01, 2009. Wow - what a night! Last night, we went to Taki to have sushi with our friends Jesse and Kaci Goldstein. We had been planning this night for weeks and we were all super excited for our "double date" sushi night. After a 30 minute wait, we got a booth and proceeded to enjoy our super yummy sushi rolls. Good food and great conversation - we were having a wonderful evening! What a nice guy! Before we left, we gave the hostess our name and phone number just in case someone decided ...

The Jansma Family: What a kid
http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-kid.html
Thursday, April 16, 2009. Over the past few weeks, Trey has been telling us that two boys in his class have been saying not so nice things to him at school. He didn't even want to tell us at first because he knew it was naughty and didn't want to say it. Eventually, he told us that the two boys have been saying "I hate you" and "I don't like you" to him for no apparent reason. Wow What a kid. But not Trey. He decided that he would write a note to the other kid to ask him to please stop. Last night, I sen...

The Jansma Family: photos from our Vegas trip
http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/01/photos-from-our-vegas-trip.html
Monday, January 26, 2009. Photos from our Vegas trip. Well, I finally got some pictures downloaded off of the camera. Here are some fun pics from our trip to Vegas after Christmas. We stayed at the new Wynn hotel - it was great! This was one small part of the very ornate Wynn lobby area. This was the view from our room on the 32nd floor. We were overlooking the "strip" and actually watched the fireworks from our room on New Year's Eve. Here we are at the Bellagio fountains. The Global Cafe field journal.

The Jansma Family: a quick update
http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/09/quick-update.html
Monday, September 21, 2009. We are still alive here at the Jansma household! Here is a quick recap of the past few months:. We packed up the POD in May and moved to our temporary housing until the new house was done. The builders moved super fast and we were able to move into our new house the weekend of July 4th. unfortunately, I do not have photos yet of the new house but I will try to add some later. We went to Omaha for our annual summer vacation with Kevin's family. How fun. :). Derek and Joni Pine.

Thursday, February 19, 2009. Please join us in praying for the Copeland family over the next week. they are our friends who are currently living as missionaries in Indonesia. Martha is pregnant with their 4th child and due to her history of difficult childbirth, they have been planning to come back to U.S. at the end of this month. We just read an update on their blog (the Copeland Five) and their family could really use our prayers right now! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Derek and Joni Pine.

The Jansma Family: Trey and his library books
http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/01/trey-and-his-library-books.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Trey and his library books. It is so fun to see what Trey will come up with on library day. If you have been reading the blog, you will remember that Trey came home with a 4th of July book the week before Thanksgiving. This time, he was so excited to tell us that he picked a book that is "non-fiction". I don't know why, but it was so cute to hear him say that! What they don't learn in kindergarten! I hope he always stays so excited about reading! The Global Cafe field journal.

The Jansma Family: an explanation.....
http://jansmafamily.blogspot.com/2009/01/explanation.html
Thursday, January 15, 2009. Sorry it's been so long since we have posted on our blog! I have 2 very valid explanations:. 1 I am now addicted to Facebook and if I have time to be on the computer, I am usually messing around on Facebook. 2 This picture from Christmas will explain how we have been spending the remainder of our free time:. Those are the exact two things that absorb my free time! Fun, isn't it! It's a good thing we didn't have Facebook and/or Wii during our years at ICO! Derek and Joni Pine.
