The Figure Drawing Blog

The Figure Drawing blog. Illustrators dedicated to sharing and discussing one figure, every day. For this sketch, I tried to separate the front leg from the rest of the figure with an old comics technique, heavier lines around the foreground elements and lighter background lines. This technique is much more effective when you use ink, but I had none on hand. Also, beware tired models! In any case, theatrical lighting can convey emotions that might not be evident otherwise.
