Miss Madison: April 2010
http://theonetheonlymissmad.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 23, 2010. Someone recently told me how important exposing kids to lower case letters is when it comes to learning to read. Makes sense right? How often do you read anything in all caps? Except when shouting or making a point or trying to annoy someone! Not using ANY caps will do this as well. At least it annoys me, but that is another story.). I was so excited to find another toy that was similar but had places for three letters to spell short words and they were LOWER CASE! Monday, April 1...

Monday, August 24, 2009. Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Sometimes Madison just stays in one place and dances but this particular day she was all over the place wanting to try everything out. . I hope they make you smile. In the PIT. She jumps in on her own! After she climbed the tower, ARMS UP! Madison's all time favorite: THE SWING! They don't have this every week but when she sees it when we walk in she says "EXCITING! Friday, August 14, 2009. A Girly Girl's day at the park. Just the PEEK, no BOO! These...

Miss Madison: March 2009

Saturday, March 28, 2009. I know people who miss the baby stage and sometimes I admit I miss the tiny infant that was once Madison oh so few months ago, BUT this whole period leading up to the intimidating terrible twos is quite euphoric sometimes. Madison and I spent the day together today and had quite the time! Here are some highlights of her recent out bursts of cuteness:. While she is a definite mimic, she was certainly not exhibiting any behavior she has seen take place in MY home! She plays "Head ...

Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Amanda inspired me. Her year in pictures made me want to do the same. She was right, choosing just one per month was difficult yet looking at them was really fun. Thank you Amanda! Vote for your favorite if you like! Some things I noticed as I went through them:. I don't take enough full body photos, I apparently am fascinated with her face. Here hair HAS grown! Sunday, December 28, 2008. Madison and Santa at Prison. He was just visiting USP Atwater! Some more Santa photos:.

Wednesday, January 27, 2010. I just love this little person. Tonight at dinner Madison wanted her glasses and when she put them on she started to sing Jesus Loves Me. She did it three times all the way through including the second full verse "Jesus taught us how to pray". On the fourth time I asked her to wait and said "Can I video you and then you can watch it? Her response was "SURE! Here is the result. She was so excited she didn't get to the second verse cute none the less right? Drops of Living Water.

Friday, January 30, 2009. I did something I never thought I would do! I sat in the TOON ROOM at John's Incredible Pizza. Now if you know me, you will know that it would be much too stimulating for me in this room. (it was) If you have never been to this fine establishment (I love their fresh salad and Alfredo pizza) they have different themed rooms in which to dine. Skating Teen room with a big screen with lots of NOISY what some would call music playing. We tried it and I survived! And then she signed ...

Miss Madison: November 2008
http://theonetheonlymissmad.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2008. A day of Milestones! Today is a day of milestones in the Dean home. Madison walked four steps. From the table to Grandma's chair (In the quest of the all important CEREAL). When she got there she got that 'look' and signed "potty" and my Mom said "You want to sit on the potty? Grandma rushed her in there and stripped her (which isn't easier with winter layers) and she proceeded to go both #1 and #2 for the first time on the potty! During physical therapy (yes the physical ther...

Miss Madison: June 2012
http://theonetheonlymissmad.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 21, 2012. I haven't blogged in so long, partly due to Facebook's ability to allow me to post my short Madison stories. This time I found myself wanting to say more than would allow on a post, so I decided it was time to update this darn thing! I was reflecting on my recent Birthday and I can't begin to express the love that was shown to me. I have decided that from now on the best way to celebrate my birthday is for the entire WEEK, not just on the DAY! That didn't materialize because we d...

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Baby Signing Aug 31. Seems like I haven't written forever. This week Madison and Grandma and I worked really hard on our "farm" signs so we would be ready for our class on Tuesday, and don't you know it, she didn't sign ANYTHING in class! 160;She was doing Chicken, Mouse, Pig (1 time), and Horse all week! I made it this week's goal to learn "Please" (Open hand in a circle on chest). After a couple of tries I randomly said "Say Please" when she was asking for a toy and ...When w...
