Come to think of it, the last time he used any form of transportation was when his entire family was reduced to a liquidesque state of bones, blood and hair in a crash back in ’91. To keep himself preoccupied at all times, Joseph walks everywhere, distracts himself with people, places, things. Smells, colours, shapes. Hard, soft, heavy. Liquid, rocks, gas. Up, down, shallow. Everything else he can look at. I wonder where he’s walking to today.
