The Barnes: April 2013
http://justinandjessbarnes.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. Our Journey to Ethiopia. Words can't express the emotions that we were going through leaving home on Thursday! The hardest thing I have ever had to do was leave Eli at home but also we were so excited and ready to meet Jeremiah for the first time. Through prayers from family and friends and clinging to some of my favorite verses, God was my rock and I handled leaving a lot better than I thought I would. God continues to teach me that he is in control and works out every detail!

The Barnes: September 2010
http://justinandjessbarnes.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 19, 2010. Are you out there somewhere in your crib all alone. Staring at the ceiling or dreaming of a home. Does your little body quiver because your lonely and cold. Sleep tight my little one your story's yet to be told. We're praying and dreaming of the life you will lead. We pray that with God's help we can give you all that you need. We won't be perfect, we'll make a mistake or two. But one thing we promise is to always love you. We'll protect you and hug you and dry all your tears.

The Barnes: Adoption Journey
http://justinandjessbarnes.blogspot.com/p/adoption-journey.html
I think I want to adopt NOW! We have all seen the "idiot" books in the bookstore and as I thumbed through it I saw that it was actually pretty helpful. Jess and I pretty much looked through the whole book that night in our hotel room. Some of its content was great.some scared us to death. It was as if the chapter had been written for me. In it Dr. Moore spoke of his own adoption of his two boys from Russia. Then right there on page 17 it hit me like a ton of bricks. As we love our God, we love our neighb...
