Finally, her room is complete. Many, many moons ago, we re-did Kelly's room as a birthday gift. Recall that her birthday was in April. The first phase went fairly quickly - choosing a new color scheme (turquoise, gray, and yellow), getting and assembling a new bedframe, rearranging the furnishings. Way Cooler Trip: Rexburg. As I mentioned, we headed north after dropping Brooke off. Tom's youngest brother David and his family live in Rexburg, Idaho, home of BYU-Idaho. It's a small college town with beautiful summer weather and lots of open space. David and Sarah live on a big lot that opens onto a large shared greenbelt. Girls' weekend at General Conference. One family tradition we've created is taking our children individually to LDS General Conference in Salt Lake City around the time they turn 12. It's a fun chance to get some one-on-one time, and for the kids to see General Conference up close instead of on television. Kelly checks out our hotel, plus the view outside (Temple Square partially visible behind the Plaza Hotel). I love to see the temple - and her smile! Kelly outside and inside the Conference Center.

Friday, December 31, 2010. After Christmas, we headed up to see the temple lights. I love this tradition even though it always seems to get pushed back until the end of the season. The night was beautiful and not very cold. G slept the entire time and I didn't want to wake him up to be in any of the pictures, but on the way back to the car I uncovered him and snapped one picture just to prove he was there.
