Looking at the elevation changes, I think they include the underwater topology. For instance, the Kingston ferry ride shows an elevation drop of 600 feet, which is the actual depth there. Says 127 miles, but includes about 8 miles on ferries, corrected elevation gain 4100 feet. Day 1: Kirkland to Sumner. 44 miles, mostly flat , mostly on trails.
