The hillbilly fly guy! This is no joke. I cought a trout with a hare-lip, or cleft lip. My dad said that I shouldn’t have returned his retarted genes to the pool, but I did. He didn’t seem to have any trouble trying to eat ny fly. I don’t like to think of him as handicapped (besides fish don’t have hands) I like to think of him as handicapable. The hillbilly fly guy! The stuff of fly fishing videos. This morning I was fishing before I had to go to work and I witnessed something that made my day. I haven’t been fly fishing very long (about a year) so I am in NO WAY a pro, but every now and then the fly fishing gods shine down upon me and grant me a moment of professionalism. It was an awesome day. FYI Approximate temp: 27 F. Fly used: a white Sz. 12 beadhead wooly bugger (I tied), 4 fish caught (4 trout). January 17, 2013. Tickets to the show.

The hillbilly fly guy! Thanks to my dad, I have been fishing ever since I can remember, mostly rainbow trout, from lakes with lures and bait. I got hooked on largemouth bass after moving to warmer climates. In December of this year (2012) I discovered the beauty that is fly fishing. I can never go back (though some times I do). Wednesday, April 29, 2015. We Pause This DC Report For An Easter Post. On Friday night before Easter, we colored our eggs - the old fashioned way. With boiling water and food coloring. And some glitter, but I didn't get pictures of the glittering. I was on glitter control! Using a whisk for the little kids was an ingenious Pinterest idea that worked pretty darn well. Friday, October 31, 2014. Weekend With The Torgersons. Kimbrey invited us up to watch the boys play in one of their last soccer games of the year. It was a very quick, but very fun weekend with these cute kiddos and their Mom and Dad. Brody has some serious soccer skills! He was so cute to watch. And he did GREAT! Here is Kaylie eating her candy necklace we brought for her. I didn't think she would figure out it was candy so quickly! Then we went to watch Chase play his soccer game. He did AWESOME!

Sunday, February 22, 2015. Photography Lesson #2 Creative use of Shutter Speed. For this assignment we took Jill's kids to the motocross track to ride motorcycles. Papa and Capri were quite content to ride around and around past us while we took pictures. Over and over and over. I got pretty bored with the whole taking five pictures and bumping my shutter speed up a notch. But I did it! Well, sometimes I only took three pictures. Thursday, August 30, 2012. A day at the lake (again). Kenny's little brother and sister moved to town for college,. So we've been hanging out with them a little. Kenny's especially excited,. Because now he has a fishing buddy. Over the weekend we all headed out to the lake for the day. We packed a picnic for lunch and dinner, and spent the whole day up there. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. It was Charlie's first birthday on the 9th, and since Kara doesn't blog, I get to post her pictures! While Drew and Kara ran to pick up supplies, I gave Charlie a bath and got her ready for her party dress. Then we played with balloons while we waited for party time.
