Artisanal Jello Shots | The Foodinista
https://thefoodinista.wordpress.com/2013/12/08/artisanal-jello-shots
A passion for food fashion. On December 8, 2013. I never thought I’d be the kind of girl to be posting about jello shots, but here we are. A couple weeks ago the topic of jello shots came up with my friend Kristi. Who had never tried one. I hadn’t thought about those green jello and vodka shooters served up in Dixie cups at frat parties in years, and for good reason. They’re vile. But it got me thinking, what would a Whiskey Sour version with Luxardo cherries bring to the game? Whiskey Sour Jello Shots.

Entropy Kitchen: To Truss A Bird Without Twine
http://thisistrix.blogspot.com/2013/04/to-truss-bird-wihtout-twine.html
Creations, experiments and recipes from Entropy the Shop's own kitchen. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. To Truss A Bird Without Twine. I learned this no twine trussing method from a dishwasher with whom I worked. I was impressed and kind of surprised that I had not figured this out nor seen it after 13 years of professional cooking. I told myself that to my benefit I was a product of my rigid, formal culinary training and therefore never sought another method. But still.duh. Once, in a pinch, I actually used the...

Thoughts in words and pictures. WHOZ BLOG IZ DIS? October 31, 2010. Rolling in bed as the LED screams in red. My stunted dreams bled. Jolted from sleep to wake, but sleep I choose instead. My casket–tempting–two pillows, those warm embraces. A black tarp of forlorn faces morning erases. This eternal tryst with death replaces. And then chapter two. You. Words tumbling over breasts and thighs. Fumbling “rest of our lives”. Faking “goodbyes”. Your eyes, Nirvana. Lull me into comatose longing for you.

Frog Land: Spring Strata Cowl
http://landoffrogs.blogspot.com/p/spring-strata-cowl.html
This simple feather and fan lace cowl is the perfect pattern to display one skein of Noro Taiyo sock. You can use whatever yarn you like, of course, but I would recommend the Taiyo – it is a great weight for early spring, and the colour palettes are inspired! There are two sizes, depending on what needle size you use. The small fits snuggly inside the collar of a gilet, while the medium is slightly looser. S: 19cm wide, 52cm (diameter). M: 22cm wide, 59cm (diameter). S: 61g / 258m. M: 94g / 397m.

It's nice to know I'm not just typing into a black hole. One of my favorite living spaces is the garden. It lives and breaths and nourishes my soul. I feel the warm sun; I hear the birds, bees, and the chatter of neighbors; I smell the flowers and feel proud of their blooms. It is therapy. A few pieces of outdoor furniture add comfort to your space.

Going to Borobudur so early we hoped to catch the sunrise and avoid the crowds (it was a public holiday for 2 weeks – a fact of which we weren’t aware before arriving in Indonesia. Stupidly, perhaps, we thought that a predominantly Muslim country wouldn’t have holidays around Christmas! Driving a little more through the stunning Javanese countryside we then stopped for lunch at a modest guesthouse. Feeling slightly sleepy...
