Fehrmanisms: February 2009
http://thefehrmans.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Friday, February 13, 2009. For Craig's birthday, I surprised him by taking a half day off from work. When he got home from class, I was there with 12 freshly-baked cupcakes- yellow cake with chocolate frosting, his favorite. (Who knows why? Of all the possible cupcake possibilities, this has to be the most mundane.) That evening, I took him out to a restaurant he'd been wanting to try since we moved here, Soul de Cuba.

Fehrmanisms: Scrapbooking in the Berkshires
http://thefehrmans.blogspot.com/2009/01/scrapbooking-in-berkshires.html
Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Sunday, January 18, 2009. Scrapbooking in the Berkshires. I really liked the two women at our table- Lynn and Joan- and I finally was able to meet Anne, my CM consultant out here. Everyone was so nice! I worked from about 9 am to midnight every day, only stopping for the delicious meals the Apple Tree Inn provided (and for the occasional cup of hot cider or coffee). The inn was absolutely adorable- and big! Debi and I at our table.

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Saturday, January 19, 2008. It's been one week at the new job and I'm loving it! It's so awesome to get paid to fix books! I've been working almost exclusively with the editor, Melissa, helping her get caught up on all her projects. (Bonus: Melissa got engaged over Christmas, and she is planning a wedding for this coming September. When we run out of things to do, we talk about her wedding plans! The only bad thing so far is gettin...

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Tuesday, December 25, 2007. We really miss all of you, and we wish could have come home for the holidays, but we had fun with just each other, too. Since we didn't have any parents around to tell us not to, we had Bar pizza for Christmas dinner and we opened all of our presents last night. Craig had such awesome ideas for presents for me! He got me two books, David Lodge's Small World. And Dear Max/Dear Scott. By one of his favorit...

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Tuesday, June 19, 2007. Don't you wish your marriage was new like me? Just an update to let you all know how action-packed our existence is. As you may or may not know, Candice’s favorite band is the White Stripes, in part because she has an uber-crush on their singer / guitarist / xylophonist Jack White. Maybe we do need children. Labels: Life in the Foxhole. Saturday, June 9, 2007. Sunday, June 3, 2007. I was soooooo mad! Dont yo...

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Thursday, February 14, 2008. Our Valentine's Day celebration leaned a little to the left this year. As many of you know, Craig has become, well, OBSESSED with politics this year. (It's a good thing he waited until after. Our wedding to do this; I specifically did NOT want to marry someone too wrapped up in politics! Craig had to work for his Valentine's Day candy! Craig found a Barack Obama Valentine's card for me at Target! Craig ...

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Monday, May 11, 2009. Quite the Little Seamstress. I'm definitely a newbie! Anyway, I bought some cheap fabric so I could practice. For the longest time, I couldn't even sew a straight line! Helped me make this pillow:. I know it's far from perfect, but it turned out so much better than I was expecting! My mom definitely liked it (although Craig was quick to point out that she's my mom and thus she has. Sew a straight line! Hannah ...

Follow Craig and Candice's newlywed adventures in New Haven, Connecticut. Saturday, October 27, 2007. Color Me Badd (Or Good? So here's the scoop. It was time to color my hair (true, true, I am not a natural brunette, sorry to shock some of you) but salon color jobs are too pricey for the likes of newlyweds. So my super-sweet (or super-cheap? Because when I asked Craig if he had any clue how to color a woman's hair, he said this: "Sure, you just paint the hair, right? Amy, if you're reading this, I'm sor...
