Republican Primaries | The Not-Quite-So-Friendly Humanist
https://notsofriendlyhumanist.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/republican-primaries
Not so much about humanism anymore. Expect lefty politics and thoughts about higher education. And don’t even get me started on campaign finance! What happened to the votes counting, not the money? And now we have this new 20 minute advert attacking Mitt Romney, a thoroughly unpleasant person who, remarkably, is probably one of the more moderate candidates of the pack, which will cost $3.5m to air in South Carolina. Here’s the trailer (yes, a trailer for an advert):. Capitalism made American great. F...
The Uncredible Hallq: Matt Nisbet is a dishonest scumbag
http://uncrediblehallq.blogspot.com/2008/03/matt-nisbet-is-dishonest-scumbag.html
Best blog name ever" - Healthy Concerns. Sunday, March 23, 2008. Matt Nisbet is a dishonest scumbag. For those of you who haven't read my previous posting on Matt. He's been very loud about the idea that proponents of evolution should present science as compatible with religion. This post was sparked by two items of interest:. First is this interview with Nisbet. He ignored the question, and talked about strategy, heavily implying that he doesn't think the truth matters. Second is Nisbet going ballistic.

Politics Watch: March 2008
http://politicalmail.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. Not big on quitting. Here's the most important thing you need to know about this race: it's neck-and-neck. Only 130 delegates separate Hillary from Senator Obama - and that's not counting Florida and Michigan. The difference in popular vote is less than 1 percent, and millions of voters have yet to make their voices heard. This election should be about their choice. With the race this close, it sure doesn't make sense to me that she'd leave now - does it make sense to you? With ou...

Politics Watch: April 2008
http://politicalmail.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 24, 2008. Senate Republicans have done it again. Yesterday, they blocked a vote on the Fair Pay Restoration Act, an important bill that would protect millions of Americans from pay discrimination based on race, national origin, gender, religion, age, or disability. We fell just three votes short yesterday of overcoming the Republicans' filibuster and reforming this unfair system. Help us get past Republicans' obstructionism and hold employers accountable for pay discrimination - sign ...
Politics Watch: going rural...

Wednesday, April 23, 2008. This week I embarked on a trip to areas of the United States seldom-visited and all too often forgotten by our nation's leaders. I am doing this because I want to learn from the people who live in these areas. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit Alabama. During my trip I spent time in the towns of Selma, Gee's Bend, Camden. To watch a video straight from the campaign trail. And I have always believed we can build a better America for all people. This week, I'm traveli...
Politics Watch: the rant
http://politicalmail.blogspot.com/2008/04/rant.html
Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Two quick notes from the campaign trail this week. Last week we told you about how Colorado Republican Bob Schaffer accepted more than $13,000 in travel and accommodations from a front group for convicted felon and Tom DeLay. Confidant, Jack Abramoff. Schaffer then turned around and defended the business practices of sweatshops run by Abramoff's lobbying clients, despite a mountain of evidence against the manufacturers. And he's not fit to serve the great people of Colorado.
Politics Watch: last night's debate
http://politicalmail.blogspot.com/2008/04/last-nights-debate.html
Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Last night, Senator Obama and I had the chance to express some substantive differences on issues that affect people's lives in Kentucky every day: the war in Iraq, the mortgage crisis, Social Security, and rising gas prices. I know when I stand up at a debate like last night, I'm speaking not just for myself, but for everyone who has supported me in this race. I know I wouldn't be here without you, and I can't tell you how proud I am to stand with you. Is this blog helpful?
