March 21, 2012 · Filed under cooking. 183 Tagged apple juice. 3 lbs blade or chuck roast. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp. pepper. 1 tbsp. cooking oil. 4 cooking apples, peeled and cores removed, cut into 1/2 inch slices. 1 c thinly sliced onion. 1/2 c apple juice. 1/4 c beef broth. 3/4 tsp. ground ginger. 3 tbsp. water. 1 tbsp. flour. Cut 6 shallow slits in roast at random. Insert 1 clove into each slit. Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper. 2 Responses so far ».

A little taste of thai. Shredded beef on a bun. March 29, 2012 · Filed under cooking. 1/2 c brown sugar. 1/4 c tomato paste. 2 tbsp. soy sauce. 4 garlic cloves, minced. 1/2 tsp. salt. Bring leftover gravy to a boil in a frying pan over med-high heat. Add sugar, tomato paste, soy sauce, garlic and salt.
