WE ARE NOT OPEN JANUARY 1st *. MON-FRI 12-6pm and Sat 12-3pm for only 10.95. Not available public holidays and through the month of December. The General Elliot was built in the 1700's and has always stood as a public house or hotel. It is steeped in history of which locals have fond memories and stories to tell. It is located in Croft village, in rural Cheshire, surrounded by country walks and nearby historic attractions.

Back in May 2008, we took the bold move to take on the challenge of reviving the Elliot! After eighteen months of hiding behind closed doors and shutters on the windows the place was in need of some serious attention. After four months of blood, sweat and tears a new roof, windows and floors, we were finally at the stage of removing our hard hats and opening the doors. August 2008 was the date we decided to let life begin at the Elliot once more and let me tell you it has just got better and better.

I decided to do another section of the London Loop and set off from home for Hatton Cross,a journey that takes 1 and three quarters of an hour.
