Walkers on the High Weald Landscape Trek or the Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk receive a friendly welcome at The George. Both of these magnificent walking routes go right past our front door. We are open from 10.00am to midnight, seven days a week, so walkers can take a breather over tea and cake, a light snack or a full sit-down meal to recharge the batteries at almost any time of the day! Events & facilities. Walking to the George. What people think of the George Inn. Lovely food and friendly service. We had some friends coming to see us and wanted to find a friendly restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. We do have a drink in The George whenever we go to Frant to indulge ourselves in the marvellous interior design shop opposite the pub (Ensor) and it always seems to have a buzzy atmosphere and is full of locals which is a good sign. A real village pub that welcomes outsider.

There’s barely a whisper of traffic noise to be heard at the wooden tables in the walled beer garden, with its trees and colourful flowers.
